My definition of dreams:
1--dreams when you're sleeping
2--dreams just like goals
Firstly, I realised that many of us here have weird dreams. Dreams seem very real sometimes, or can be a very mild 'sensation' that doesn't affect us so much. These past week, I've been dreaming... about the same person all the time! I can't believe it. I have to stop this! Now I finally understand how Nadz felt then... -_-" heh! You know, when I was a young kid entranced in the world of Roald Dahl books, I came across this book, "B.F.G." which is actually "Big Foot Giant" when spelt out fully. It mentioned about how this skinny, dry-skinned giant tried to mix and match bottles of dreams which were kept in his storeroom. Haha... Sounds very fairytale. Yeah~ but I think it's very imaginative of him to come up with such stories.
Oh, do you know that our dreams have colours? We often forget about what we dream of when we're conscious. I read this in a magazine and the fact is that dreams actually have colours, instead of what we always assume of them in black and white! How amazing. =D
Also, here's a guide to overcoming nightmares: write down what happened in your dream. Ask questions. Why does it happen this way? Is there any meaning to your dream? It might be your fears. Ask all these until you get to the root of the problem. Can consider consulting someone you think gives you good advices. If nightmares go on, consult a doctor immediately liao lah... hahaha.. =P
Next, dreams of becoming someone you really want to be. It seems really hard to achieve your life goals sometimes, but I've learnt something over the past week: You're always never ready for anything. It all matters on whether you're willing to do it, whether you want to do it. Nothing is impossible in this world. You can even do things that no one has ever thought 'out of the box'. Speaking of this, let me share something! I've climbed the school side gate TWICE this past week! lol... Just so that I don't have to walk such a HUGE roundabout to go cca room. -_-" OH! and I was so excited to climb another time, and another time!!! hahahha... Climbing is just so fun, even though I scratched myself now and again. nahz~ just minor injuries, nothing to fuss about! Not bad, in my life so far, I've climbed the school gate twice, and a tree (about my height) once. YAY!!!!!! lol... I shall climb some more next time. ^_-
This morning had religious class. It's always so comfortable to step into class. Another good morning. =D Was chatting with Deming kor, Apple jie and Zhehua over lunch about high school, National Day outing (YAY! =P) etc... yeah. They started asking me what course I'm planning to take after 'A's. As usual, my answer was, "TCM". Traditional Chinese Medicine. It's a course in NTU. Why I choose that? 1) I like Chinese. 2) I don't really like Western medicine because of its side effects. 3) I think it's a very cool course! haha...but there are problems. 1st: my studies now is very unstable... 2nd: I'm still quite inconfident of my performance during 'A's. 3rd: I don't know if the course will be the best for me, and the intake size for this course is pretty small, less than 100 I think, especially when TCM is developing now. It might be hard as the days come by... but meanwhile, I shall just "走一步算一步”了. No use worrying so much. I'll end up having more white hair. (Apple jie just found a few more strands behind my head today... =( uh-oh..)
I think dreams are a level which we aim to strive towards. It's like a guide, in our lives. Even if we fail to get to that level, as long as we did our best, we don't lose anything in the end. In fact, we learn as we improve ourselves. So what if we don't get what we want eventually? We still learnt something during our journey on our way to our goals! We are imperfect humans. We cannot be 100% perfect in anything. We can only IMPROVE ourselves, continuously. I thought about this before: what if I can't get into TCM? I'll be left hanging in 'mid-air' -- bad 'A' levels cert. plus not much work experience or practical skills... well, as mentioned earlier on, I still want to take things as they go. I don't really want to stress myself out. It's not good. I went 88.3FM radio station last Friday, and this DJ, Zhang Ying, talked about her academic life. She was from NYJC last time, but didn't do well for 'A's so she took a whole round through another 3 years in Poly. but she was glad, 'coz through these poly years, she found out that she actually liked media and communications. (She wanted to become a teacher before.) yeah~
I guess everyone has their own life stories to say about. And this is what makes life so interesting and each of us so unique.
*Dreams. =)
When we wake up in the morning, we have 2 simple choices:Go back to sleep and dream, or wake up to chase those dreams. The choice is yours...
