At work now.
Haha.
Last night, while I was walking home from tuition, I felt as if I've grown a few years younger.
Haha... Nope, not magic or anything.
My student's house was near my ex-school, so the path which I took home was the route that I'd always been walking during my old school days. That feeling of reminiscing about the school days wearing a uniform... I felt a sense of relief to be able to feel this again.
Strolling home along that path was a hometown feeling for me... Just enjoying the walk...
I've not been enjoying walks like this already... :)
Back to talking about my work.
Are you thinking, "Wah... It's Saturday now and why is Shar still at work?"
Oh wells, I do enjoy my work, fortunately or unfortunately for my dear readers.
I came into contact with a person who is in need over a phone call just now.
The way I talked to the caller, the information which I had with me, the exposure I got and more to come, all made me realised that I've grown up so much. I can't believe this sometimes. In the past I thought being 19 over years was of very old and mature age already, but now, I thought it otherwise. We can never get out of our childhood phase. The way the society is shaped causes us to cover up our childish-like nature and to show the expected mature adult behaviour. As we become old, we enter our "2nd childhood", as many would describe. Then, things change. Relationships between the adult-child and aging parent conflicts or closeness, the adjustment to old age physical health changes which would probably affect the individual, the people around him/her, the society/community and the whole world (aging population).
It's all part of life.
Life and death.
I've learnt from Jay Haley that "people don't develop problems on their own, but as a response to their social environment". It's how we learn how to cope with these changes in our lives and the ability we have or acquire in tackling challenges in our lives. It's also about how we view our world as--positively or negatively.
So, is it fortunate or unfortunate that I'm at work on a Saturday? ^_-
For now,
I feel so excited going to the next challenge later--manning a reception at a library talk for the senior citizens.
=D
