Why do people look so cool, or try so hard to look so cool on the outside?
When they're in fact so scared inside.
And then they create more fear and bewilderment to the people around them.
These people build up their own defense by putting up a cool front as a result.
In the end, everyone seems to look so cool and collected, but so cold and unwelcoming upfront.
This.
is the kind of interaction common among people in our society nowadays.
Why would most of us fear others, and yet instill fear in others?
Why don't we just let go of our own guard and stay true and real?
It's easier to just be ourselves, isn't it?
Because we all need to sacrifice some things when we remove our masks.
Sacrifice our ego.
Sacrifice our embarrassment.
Sacrifice being rejected.
Sacrifice being laughed at.
Sacrifice our laziness of initiating the interaction with others.
(Of course, this list is not exhaustive. Everyone has their own fears in one way or another.)It's still up to oneself to choose:
To be fearful and give others fear (this is the more convenient way), OR
To be relaxed and be the first to make others feel more at ease (this requires more effort on our part to spark the change in ourselves).
